Divorce - Fees

How it Works

Parties are billed the hourly rate of $185 per hour for all mediation time. Upon reaching settlement on all issues, if the parties request Mediation Northwest to draft and file all divorce-related documents, the parties are billed the Flat Document Preparation Fee. Mediation Northwest does not require parties remit a retainer. All fees are due at the time services are rendered. Visa and MasterCard are accepted for your convenience.


Mediation or Facilitation Hourly Rate: $185 per hour, billed in six-minute increments

Mediation or Facilitation Per Diem Rate: $1000.00 per day (seven consecutive hours)

Travel Time: one-half the hourly rate, billed in six minute increments

Mileage: the prevailing federal mileage reimbursement rate

Flat Document Preparation Fee* for Couples without Children: $795.00

Flat Document Preparation Fee* for Couples with Children: $999.00

Flat Document Preparation Fee* for Modification of Child Support, Parenting Time or Spousal Support: $700

Court Filing Fee (paid to the court): $401

Mediation or Facilitation Training Daily Rate: $2,000

* The Flat Document Preparation Fee includes one draft and two edits of all divorce-related documents, filing the documents at court, and providing each party with a file-stamped and conformed copy of each divorce-related document.
